Fallowfields, Huntington, Staffordshire
About the area
Huntington is a prospering village situated in the rural heart of South Staffordshire - right on the western edge of Cannock Chase which is a designated Area Of Outstanding Beauty. Some 26 square miles, it's the largest surviving area of lowland heathland and forest in the Midlands - with many scarce species and wild deer roaming free too! Huntington itself is rich in mining heritage but has recently benefitted from new housing, investment and regeneration. It's also fortunate to have many amenities for a village - church, primary school, post office, local stores and takeaways, restaurant, youth club, pub, a thriving community centre, bowling green and rugby club! Specification Modern three storey properties maximise the space available and, quite simply, provide more home for your money and a truly flexible approach to today's spontaneous lifestyles and the family/work/social dynamic. And all of the properties have their own garage, which is very rare in today's market, while many have large rear gardens because they fall in restricted green belt. Directions From Jct 13 of the M6: Leave the motorway (signposted Stafford South) and at the roundabout take the 3rd exit on to the A449 - signposted Stafford - entering Dunston. At next roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Mill Lane (signposted Acton Trussell) and bear right onto Lower Penkridge Road - entering Acton Trussell. Turn left onto Nash Lane, continue forward onto Meadow Lane, turn left onto Teddesley Road, turn right again and continue forward - entering Bednall. Continue forward onto Common Lane and after three quarters of a mile turn right onto the A34. At next roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Stafford Road (A34) and continue forward entering Huntington. The entrance to Fallowfields is just off the A34 on the right. Shopping Leisure Cannock Chase aside, Huntington Leisure Park has a walkway some 300 ft above ground level with great views in all directions, while the village's Recreation Ground has just been transformed to include a full size football pitch, two junior versions a skate park and new changing rooms. Education The village has its own primary school, which is well regarded and enjoys a good reputation. Transport Huntington is well connected because the main A34 Cannock to Stafford runs through the village and the M6 (and M6 Toll) is just a short drive away too. Health A new Health Centre is planned for the village as part of the overall planning agreement.
