I grew up there but have lived out of the UK now for 24 years ...
... It still keeps wanting to pull me back though and the power of this phenomenon is awesome. My heart will always be there. It is simply "Home".

A very nice city to live and work in, providing you know the right places to go. Unfortunately incredibly expensive property wise.

Salisbury is a beautiful place, but very very small...
I moved from London and was shocked that a city just 80 miles from the capital could be so backward. Too religious and inward looking, but pretty!

We moved to Salisbury about 10 months ago and I have to say that it has been one of my favourite places to live in...
We've lived in many places in the last few years and without a doubt this is the place that has felt most like home.
The city is so beautiful and you walk around and there's this wonderful sense of atmosphere and a feeling of friendliness and goodwill.
Our jobs mean that we move around a lot and don't stay in one place for too long, we're moving on again soon, but this time there'll more than one tear shed when we drive away!

Salisbury is a beautiful city full of atmosphere, friendly faces and character...
Once you've lived here, you feel part of it.
But be warned - the house prices are high compared to wages, so it's very difficult for a single homeowner in the early years of your career.

A great place...
I grew up there and recently went back to visit and it brought back so many brilliant memories. Anyone looking to move to Salisbury or Amesbury, don't think twice! It's surrounded by beautful views and the people are lovely.

I live and work in Salisbury...
...and although I have travelled to many parts of the world, Salisbury is still my favourite place. I love the beautiful Cathedral, the countryside and the people. Property is quite expensive, and has also gone up a lot in the past two years, but we are very lucky to be able to live here.

The city centre only buys into the parts of the 20th and 21st century that it needs...
...and yet it has one of everything - clubs, pubs, cinema, coffee shops, art galleries etc. Bath, Bristol, Southampton, Bournemouth all within 40 minutes for huge shopping, nights out, and the beach. Lots of outdoor activities, paragliding and rollerblade in the area. And so on! Try it!
