Tell us about Brushford

Fancy yourself as a scribe? This is your big chance to impress the world with your devastating wit, fine turn of phrase and detailed knowledge of the neighbourhood you live in.

Is it possessed of delightful green spaces, lovely Victorian terraces, and beautiful riverside walks? Or is it a gritty urban enclave with trendy loft conversions and a pulsating local night-life?

Does the local school drive prices and lure young families, or is it an up-and-coming hotspot over-run with developers gutting houses and clogging the streets with skips?

Would you advise your friends to move here, like yesterday, before it becomes really unaffordable, or would you warn them that the traffic is awful, prices are stagnant and it's never fulfilled its potential?

We want to know – and we want you to tell us. Send us you contributions and we'll publish them on our area guide pages – and if you're a high-tech Johnny with a digital camera and an eye that puts David Bailey to shame, send us pictures of the place as well.

And finally – please add a name, or a pseudonym, so that other people reading your deathless prose know that it isn't us, or estate agents, scribbling away and making all this stuff up!

Need inspiration? Here are a few recent contributions. To send us yours, scroll to the submission box at the end of this page.

Maidstone:

Peaceful during the day-time, very busy in town usually, great night life. As with all towns and cities, there is always a rough end of town, and Maidstone isn't an exception, but it's a fantastic place to live and there are millions of job opportunities in the surrounding areas.

Henley:

Henley is a successful community and market town with stunning countryside and river views around. A true haven and a constant pleasure to live in, although expensive. Inevitably traffic can be heavy but a minor detail when the benefits of living here are such that we truly feel privileged.

London SE4 – Brockley:

Have just moved here from Finsbury Park and love the area. Very reasonable prices considering the quality of the housing stock, the peace and the transport connections: I am in walking distance to New Cross tube.

Needs a few more decent bars and restaurants but can only be a matter of time. Get in quick!
