Bude guidebook

A coastal town nestled in the north of Cornwall, Bude boasts a wealth of facilities for all ages…

With its beautiful beaches, a free open air sea pool and glorious views from the coastal path which runs through the area, Bude attracts a variety of people with different interests.

Boasting good shops and restaurants, Bude has an 18 hole golf course, a busy shopping centre and a variety of entertainment for all ages.

Each August the town changes its rhythm to accommodate the famous Bude Jazz Festival, and for those who like a more scenic side to life there are many peaceful walks in the area including along the Bude canal.

The canal, built in the 1820s, has a working sea lock. The first two miles between Bude and Helebridge still remain in water and are used by residents and visitors for fishing, walking and boating.
