Word On The Street: West Worthing
I moved to West Worthing on my return to the UK, having previously lived in the Medway Towns...

…Great place to bring up children, good entertainment, restaurants, shopping, rail connection to London and Brighton.

Have just retired after working in London to continue to live in this part of the UK, known to many locals as Camelot.

We moved from London recently…

…It's a great seaside town - cheap (relatively), lovely beach, the South Downs on your doorstep, Brighton really close and easy to get to London.

Word On The Street: Tarring, Worthing
Probably the last remaining olde worlde bit of Worthing…

...A quaint street with a mix of affordable and rather pricey properties.  Good community spirit exists for those who want to partake in the odd summer bbq or Christmas party! Schools from first, middle and senior are all within walking distance and so it's a sought-after catchment area. An all found good place!

Word On The Street: Worthing
I retired to Worthing six months ago from Orpington, and would recommend it to anyone as a fantastic place to live ...

... It has everything great shops, sea countryside and also I have found everyone so friendly. Worthing has so much for all age groups certainly not just for the elderly.

Word On The Street: Worthing
We have recently moved from Brighton to Worthing ...

... It took us a while to adjust BUT now we love it here. Easier to get around and we go down to the seafront more often as it is easier to park/walk. Needs more cafes and better facilities in local parks to bring them up to Brighton standards though.

Word On The Street: Worthing
A delightful if mildly baffling mix of up and coming hot spots and super dodgy areas ...

... Brightonians are gradually shifting across to invest here due to crazy London prices in Brighton. But be careful where you buy! Great choices include West Worthing (Grand Avenue and Heene areas) poets district, Ferring (if you can afford it) the seafront and Selden/Sugden areas of East Worthing and parts of Broadwater.

However rumours of undesirable development around Titmore Lane/Woods means most of Durrington is best avoided (although the well priced new housing up there is seductive)and also large parts of Goring have stigmas attached. Money is being poured into a remarkable development at Teville Gate (near Worthing station) so will push prices up around those parts.

... Great schools, nice people and lots to do.

Word On The Street: Worthing
I only just visited Worthing yesterday ...

... to see my girlfriend, and I found it to be such a lovely place - very peaceful and the people are very nice. I'm thinking about moving there and starting up my own business.

Word on the Street: Worthing
I've lived in Worthing for two years now...

...and find it very friendly and interesting. It has the sea with lots of summer activities on the seafront and in the town too, but it also has the advantage of the countryside nearby as well. Just a short walk and you are on the Downs with all the splendour of wide open spaces, pretty villages and country pubs.
