The nearby A24 also offers a direct link in to London via Dorking. Going west, the A27 takes you to Chichester and Portsmouth, where the cross-Channel ferries sail for mainland Europe.

Worthing offers a wide range of ways to have fun. The town has no fewer than five theatres and four cinemas, including the historic Pavillion, and a lively restaurant and bar scene, with many venues located on Marine Parade. Just about any sport can be played in Worthing too: tennis, squash, golf, fishing, bowling and all kinds of fitness activities at one of the many leisure centres.
