One of the nicest ways to spend some leisure time in Molesey is to take a walk along the banks of the Mole and Ember…
…You may even spot a heron or maybe a kingfisher on the way via the recreation ground and end up at the oldest pub in Molesey, The Bell for a nice drink before returning home.

Within walking easy walking distance of a beautiful part of the Thames ...
... and only 1 km from Hampton Court, and the two Royal Parks, Bushy and Home Park.
Very urbanised, but excellent shopping and services within easy reach. Many other good open spaces in a five mile radius. Beautiful countryside (Box Hill, North Downs way within 20 minutes drive).
For commuters, Hampton Court Station provides easy access to all train services. Lots of excellent clubs, schools, and societies. Overall, a very good compromise between town and country. (House prices high, of course.)

Still a hidden gem. Even the cheaper parts are far better than any other nearby areas...
I'm tempted not to let on just how good Molesey is. It's one of the few places this close to London where there is a real community still, good schools, low crime, good for commuting, river, Hampton Court, easy access to M3/M4. If you have to live near London there are far worse places to live (and many of the far more expensive places are still worse!).

The river roads in West Molesey offer great value for Thameside living ...
... With easy access to shops, good schools and lots of open space - this area really is a bit of a gem.

Have recently moved to West Molesey in the last couple of months...
I think the area is great with local shops and not too far from Kingston and Walton. It is fairly quiet and only a 15 minute walk to Hampton Court station meaning access to Surbiton, Wimbledon and London. Would recommend it as an area to look into. It is a lot cheaper than Esher, Surbiton, Walton etc but as it is in the middle off all these areas it benefits from all they havt to offer.

We moved to Molesey (bang in the middle of East and West) four years ago...
...and have found it a very pleasant place to live.
Schools are excellent and there is a really good community spirit. The area is small enough to see people you know in the high street but has good links as well.
I commute into London every day and have found the service to be pretty reliable. I used to have to drive into London and the train is definitely preferable. Hampton Court is a terminus so it doesn't matter if you nod off on the way home, someone will always wake you up.
We have found Molesey a haven of peace and tranquility after living in nearby Kingston all our lives, yet if we want to get in to shops or cinemas it's a matter of minutes away.

West Molesey is cheap and represents good value when compared with other outer-London suburbs...
Traffic is light(ish), crime is low, shopping is simple and yet London is 30 minutes' train ride away. The A3, M3 and M25 and within 15 minutes and the shopping centre of Kingston is a 15 minute drive. Even Guildford is only 30 minutes drive.
The stock of houses is adequate - something for everyone, and the schools are very good.

We lived in West Molesey, on the River Mole, for two and a half years...
We just moved back to the United States 6 weeks ago.
We loved our life in Molesey. Great village, great sport complex with the Pavilion Sports Club, great historical places around (Hampton Court Palace among others), easy access to London with the train from Hampton Court Station (but it takes 35 not 25 minutes!) and lots of good shopping in Kingston nearby.
If it weren't for the weather, it might very well be one of the best place to live and raise kids on earth...but...aw, anyway...We miss it and all the good friends we made while we lived there!

Molesey is a great place to live - there is a real sense of community about it....
It is so nice that when you walk down the road you alway bump into someone you know.
Molesey is also a great place to live as it is so close to London.

Hurst Park is the nicest part of West Molesey...
With very close access to the Thames, a superb take away Chinese, and reasonable shops in the precinct.

West Molesey is a small attractive area with local shops, an indoor swimming pool,a library, a church and several Public Houses...
It is a very pleasant place to live being between Hersham mainline railway station and Hampton Court railway station. It is close to the Thames with landscaped riverside picnic areas. There are plenty of open recreational spaces and East Molesey shopping facilities are within easy walking distance. Kingston-upon-Thames is within easy reach by car or bus being about 5 miles away.
