Heston is a lovely area…
…I've lived on The Crossways for 30 years and have to say it's a pleasant street full of nice people. The road is very sought after, I've had countless offers from rich people to buy my house. I'm not selling! I love Heston too much to leave!

We have lived in Heston for 6 years and we love the community spirit and the fact that it has maintained its village atmosphere.
A little bit of country in the city with great links to motorways and central London and is bordered by the beautiful National Trust, Osterley Park

We have lived here for 3 years, our neighbours have been great and people are generally friendly...
It is also easy to get to most places from Heston as it is local to popular motorways - M3/M4/M25 - as well as the A30. Also, from Osterley station, you can also get to Central London in 40 mins. We also love Osterley Park which is a 5 minute drive for walks and picnics.
The negatives are that drivers seldom say 'thank you' when you give way (very annoying) and there really should be wheelie bins as most Fridays the rubbish is littered on the street. This in turn has attracted rats - we have seen one roaming around our garden. This is purely down to the council not providing wheelie bins.

Heston's great? I don't think so...
I am saying honestly that the area is averagely ok, but can be improved and developed a lot. The area has about 40% good points, remaining 60% of bad points.
The area standards are low and should be increased. Heston would be better if the borough and government put some MONEY and EFFORT into supporting its needs. If this area was improved in every way for example security, littering, lamp streets, graffiti, leisure clubs, etc, then this would make Heston stand out and shine. Rather then Heston being shadowed by its problems.
Thank you for letting me expresses my views on the area, as I have been living and working in Heston for 40 years.

My wife & I bought an apartment in Heston over 5 years ago...
We loved the place so much that when we decided to trade up we chose a house in the same development known as Wheatlands.
Heston has everything, affordable housing, good schools, excellent traffic links to the M4 & the M3 & M25.
It has also maintained its' wonderful village atmosphere and cherishes its' community atmosphere.

I have been living in Heston for 4 years now and think it's a lovely place to live...
The people are friendly and there are a variety of cultures to experience.
I have lived on The Crossways for 3 years and love the neighbourhood. It's a nice residential street with smart and well-kept houses. The people are friendly and they respect each other.
Depending on my job situation I would very much like to continue living in Heston and in particular The Crossways for many more years to come.

Heston is a good neighbourhood mainly consisting of private houses...
There are two good housing estates in Heston, one of which is sought after. Regular bus route which goes to underground and Hounslow High Street in 10 minutes.
Some excellent schools in the area. Friendly village shops with local library and Leisure Centre (including pool). Four pubs, two chippies, one Chinese and one Indian (which holds the award of top Indian chef for curries in the UK for the last number of years). Local traffic can be a bit choca during rush hour as it receives all the Southall traffic going to Hounslow.
