Word On The Street: Abbots Langley

... It's a lovely village with friendly people. All three of our kids were brought up in village schools - one has a family and home here now - a great place for grandchildren to be raised!

If we want a night out in London, we can access the main-line train to Euston down the hill (15 mins slow walk) or take a taxi ride to Watford for more frequent services. It's easy to get to Heathrow or Luton airports - Gatwick or Stansted are a longer journey (1.5 hours?).

Easy access to the M25 - M1 also close - with the M4 and M40 accessible via the M25 (subject to traffic!) Yet we are in the countryside with horses, sheep, cows and lots of village pubs.

There is a choice of Churches and faiths for the religious. Nearest football club is Watford FC (2006/07 Premiership club!)

Abbots Langley, a great place to live!

Three good primary schools within the village. Well served by a variety of shops, library, pubs and doctors.

We have since moved to the States but still own our home there. The village is quiet yet friendly. My daughter went to the local Catholic school, Divine Saviour. I highly recommend this wonderful place to live.
