Me and my partner have recently moved to Bordon from Kent…
…Having not known much about the area before the move, I have been pleasantly surprised with the area and all it has to offer both myself and my partner who, as a keen sportsman, is enjoying getting involved in all the clubs and activities available.
We have been welcomed into the community by all the locals, and have been touched by their willingness to all rally round and support the area in the recent bids to make the town an eco-town.
Bordon is surrounded by greenery and has plenty of areas to choose from to enjoy a walk with our two dogs, Millie and Molly.
I would recommend moving to Bordon, the prices are much lower, and the area has so much to offer. Bordon has really impressed me and I feel like I have really made a home for life here!

I have lived in Bordon for two years, I moved here from Godalming as the house prices here are far more reasonable…
…I was initially quite skeptical about the area due to the fact the town is not the most attractive from an architecture point of view, but I have to say that I would never go back.
I have three children, who all go to local schools, and the area for both myself and my wife and children has been fantastic. Local people are friendly, the countryside here is unrivalled and with all of the impending redevelopment we are very excited about the future.
Bordon is truly one of Hampshire's hidden gems.

I have lived in Bordon for the last 16 years ...
... It is a very safe place to live, and because of this insurance costs are low compared to other areas nearby. The town centre is shortly to be redeveloped and therefore house prices will rise.
It is in an excellent position for reaching either the coast or London. The people are friendly and it's a great place to live, with plenty of areas for walking, cycling, etc.

Improving fast with the building of a new school, the development of MOD released land and several new housing developments.

I have moved here from Fleet at the beginning of 2003...
...sold my lovely apartment in Fleet and purchased a nice two bedroom house in Whitehill which I have completely refurbished including a small mini loft extension. I don't look back as I have much more space now, a garage and it is more value for money.
I do like the area a lot, it's safe and people are very friendly and the huge woodland is excellent for cycling and walking. I agree that the area is definitely coming along now as the army is moving out soon and also new plans are shaping up for developing the town further. House prices are still reasonable but slowly increasing as Farnham and other surrounding towns are far more expensive.
It would be good to do more for the younger people, building perhaps a nice cafe or a community place where they can meet and perhaps play pool, billiards or do other things together.

I have lived in the Bordon area all my life (I'm 26)...
...the place is certainly up and coming - there's a lot of potential. House prices are reasonable - especially for first-time buyers, and with Tesco now moved in, it's given us more choice with shopping. Lots of woodland around, with ponds and great walking areas. Main towns, such as Alton, Farnham, Liphook and Petersfield are within 15 minutes drive away, and Portsmouth and Guildford within 30 minutes.

It's getting better for younger people!
More activites and new skate park and stuff. When the army leave in a few years there will be soooo much room for new things like a cinema, ice rink, more shops etc. Bordon is on the up and with Tescos moving in hopefully other retailers may be encouraged as Tescos is showing every shop that Bordon is a money making place.

Bordon is a really up & coming place...
...the local amenities are excellent with two supermarkets and a new Tesco. I like the fact that we are just 20 minutes from the sea and still only 45 minutes from London! There are loads more families moving into the town and they are probably pleased to acquire such reasonably priced but spacious property. The area is green and lush all around making it great for outdoor pursuits. At the moment it is the place to be!

Bordon is ideal for the family or first-time buyers...
...who want a cheaper alternative to living in Surrey.
House prices are on the up daily so it's a good investment whatever your reason for moving here.
Good access to London or Portsmouth is via the A3 just a few miles away so it would also suit the commuter, along with having its own thriving trading estates and retail outlets.
There are a few pubs and a night club for the socially-inclined, along with many choices of places to eat for a sit-down or take-away dinner.
The best place to purchase property in Bordon has to be anywhere off Forest Road. It is central to all amenities with prices rocketing the most.

I have been living in Bordon for twenty years and think it fairly good...
...You have five local schools, a shopping centre and Tesco moving in soon. A sports centre and evening college. Plenty of walks with Deadwater Valley and good transport links for other local towns.
Hopefully Tesco will bring in further business to swell this ever-expanding community.

House prices in Bordon are on the up...
My wife and 2 children moved here from Reading and have not looked back. Good, convenient shopping centre and within easy reach of most things Bordon is certainly somewhere you should consider.
