It's a great place to live…
…Lots to do for young and old - links to London and all surrounding areas!

It has some beautiful countryside surrounding it ...
... The nightlife is minimal and it centres around a design outlet and bowling alley! The people are all very local. There is little to do for young couples, but good for people with families and very quiet surroundings. It is a place where everyone knows who everyone else is, so it has a community feel and the locals seem to be very friendly.

I moved to Braintree from Loughton 3 years ago - I believe that it is a lovley place to live! ...
... Everything is here, including a great racecourse which is being built at present. I also think that when it is complete the house prices will also rise.

I've lived here nearly 9 years and the change has been dramatic...
When I came here, there was nothing except a fetid swimming pool and the typical shops. Now there is a bowling alley, cinema, Freeport and soon to be a brand new pool. It really has turned itself around, but there are still areas that need looking at, such as Braintree College, and the old White Chapel school building.

Braintree is up and coming...
There is plenty to do. It's a good place to live. Frequent trains and buses run to all surrounding locations, and it is under a hour from London by train.

I was born in Braintree 21 years ago...
...and have seen it grow from a sleepy village/town to a thriving and vibrant centre of living in Essex. Braintree council have cleaned up their act and have embarked on a 10 year plan to make Braintree a beacon for North Essex. There is great potential for this little town as the commuters and young thirtysomethings move in and make the town more and more cosmopolitan every day!

With the designer village 'Freeport', a new 12 screen cinema and bowling alley ready for Christmas...
...restaurants, pubs and clubs - Braintree is becoming an entertaining place to live - but you can still find quiet locations in the town to reside away from the main town centre.

I moved to Braintree last year from London...
...so it was a bit of a shock how quiet it was, but in the last year they've built a new night club and opened a few new bars and I love it. It's clean and quiet but it's got character I think!
