Word On The Street: Telscombe Cliffs

It has everything! 10 minutes down the road we have Brighton marina with all its shops and restaurants then 2 minutes further we have the city of Brighton.
However 10 minutes the other way and we have Newhaven where you can hop on a ferry to Dieppe and do your duty free shopping!

With so much on our doorstep you would think we were living in a boring commuter belt but Telscombe Cliffs has the feel of living in a village community with really good schools, shopping centre, leisure centre and parks.

In the summer you can take a walk down to the beaches and the cliff tops provide a dogwalker's paradise.

The house prices however are considerably lower than Brighton and you can get so much more for your money with big gardens a plus.

The stunning properties on the cliff top itself have the advantage of panoramic seaviews, amazing sunsets with views stretching to the Brighton Pier one way and the ferry to France departing and returning the other way.

There are a lot of affordable properties with seaviews but the clifftop ones are in a class of their own and surprisingly low in price considering the outstanding views.

For commuters to London, Brighton station is only 10 minutes away and the train takes 52 minutes.

House prices are very good value when you compare them to other areas locally. We have beautiful beach walks, good schools and parks and you can commute anywhere else easily.

Easy access to Brighton, Eastbourne or Lewes for evenings out. All the facilities you need from a home town, plus lovely views of the sea.

...the name was hurriedly changed after the carnage at Gallipoli in 1915. Strange place, all built on a grid pattern after the founder Charles Neville witnessed such things in Canada and Australia and he reckoned it was the best way to start a new town. At least everyone's got a garden.

... the wind is a myth, summer is great, and its handy for EVERYTHING! The coast is right there, the South Downs are behind you, Brighton is next door - what else is there??

...so all females should consider short hair or alternatively a tight perm (not attractive!)
All amenities relatively close and convenient, and always with plenty to do in the surrounding area. Brighton and Lewes are both less than half an hour away by car, and a lot less by motorbike.
Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters country park are only minutes away, and another good reason to move to Peacehaven is the abundance of good pubs in the locality.
