Brighton is a great place second to none…
…One of the best things about Brighton is the public transport, which is rarely available in other towns. We love our city, it's simply the best.

Me and my boyfriend just moved here from North London in the new year, and it was the best decision we ever made!
…The place is amazing, very very cosmopolitan! We live two roads away from the beach and it's gorgeous.
The people here are very open minded and friendly and always up for a wicked party.
I can really see why Brighton is referred to as the gay capital of the UK as everyone seems so comfortable with it.
It really is like living on holiday here.
Fantastic place to live!

This has got to be the best place to be in the Brighton & Hove area…
…We live on the block leading down to the sea, so only two minutes from the beach. There is an abundance of restaurants, some pubs and even a couple of clubs in this area. There are also a number of cafes and interior decorating shops, as well as some trendy hairdressers and beauticians all within 5 mins of the Avenues.
You're also only a 15 min walk from central Brighton, yet it's far away enough from the worst hubbub of Brighton to not have to fight for space on the pavements.
Most of the housing here consists of large mansion style flats with high ceilings in Victorian buildings. Both Brighton and Hove railway stations are 15-20 mins away by foot, and then you're only about an hour away from London Victoria.
It is very laid back here, and people are generally friendlier than in London. There are a lot of party people in this town (in particular in central Brighton, but also spread out all over the Brighton & Hove area), which can be a bit annoying at times, but over all, the laid back and friendly atmosphere of Hove and the proximity to the sea win hands down over any part of London (including South Kensington).

I love living in this area…
…It is so near the sea and local shops.
Brighton is one of the most friendly environments to live in. It is so healthy for a young family.

Brighton is probably the best city in the UK ...
... It has the sea and sand. The best restaurants - try Nou Nou. Bohemian, friendly, intelligent, nonjudgemental people of all ages. The best schools - Brighton College has the best Headmaster. Lovely countryside - visit Lewes. The most interesting little independent shops. Great night life and best access. Brighton is the Best!

Brighton has everything. It's London on a smaller scale, which certainly isn't a bad thing ...
I've lived here all my life (my parents moved here before I was born), and spending 3 years away at university in Nottingham has utterly vindicated my opinion of Brighton. I was taken aback at how much I missed my hometown.
Now I'm looking to move into my own place in Brighton/Hove - the decision of where I wanted to live didn't even have to be made.
The only downside? Houses down here are expensive. Perhaps almost prohibitively so, but you do get what you pay for.

Brighton pretty much has everything to offer - London by the sea, only better! ...
... Young or old, there's a fantastic ambiance. Go down to the Marina and it's like being in the French Riviera. A FAB place.

Brighton is a vibrant city, with lots of eccentric people ...
... It is very much a young place to live. Work is relatively poorly paid in comparison to London - but rentals are of similar price.
It is a great place to live if you are into the arts and music, or if you are into the gay scene. It is also great if you need to commute to London on a daily basis.

I've only been to Brighton once, but once was enough!
... I'm moving from the north in a couple of months with my friend, who I easily convinced, and I can't wait. Brighton has everything - it's amazing! We love it!!

If you are thinking about moving from London to Brighton - do it!
It's a fantastic city - people are friendly and cosmopolitan and you always get a seat on the train in the morning. I go into work with a smile on my face and have made some great friends, and I've only been here for two months! As for the sea and the architecture - say no more. I'll never live in London again, I'm in hook, line and sinker. Enjoy it - do it!

Born in US and having lived in NYC nearly 25 years
I find Woodingdean village situated on the outskirts of Brighton/8 minutes to Brighton Marina particularly attractive. There are new developments currently active in the area.
Choicest street in Woodingdean lies in Crescent Drive South just off Falmer Road on the way to quaint Ovingdean/Rottingdean villages. There are lovely detached properties along this refined road with stylish properties with grand, panoramic view of the distant sea and South Downs. Happy Valley Park is an oasis of dog walkers and families alike.

10 years ago I moved to England after living in San Francisco for 20 years...
Hove is the first place I've felt I can call home. Brighton and Hove has got everything: the sea, the southern downs, quiet neighbourhoods only a short ride from shopping and clubs, 2 universities, and less than an hour from London.
Every weekend feels like a holiday. It's a really great place to have a family. We're here to stay.

I always saw myself as a die hard Londoner, until I visited Brighton and Hove...
I've no moved to the area and love it. Brighton allows you to live your life to the full, with so many things from having a bbq with friends on the beach to excellent shopping and recently I met the best the Pilates teacher. I'm converted!

Brighton is the best place in England to live, I'm convinced!...
I moved down from spending my life in London where I lived there for 23 years. I like living in Brighton more as we have fresh sea air, easy access to the countryside, friendlier people and a lot of what London has to offer.
I get to Victoia in 48 minutes (when I have to) and I'm healthier and happier all round.

I have lived in Brighton and worked here for the last few years...
Even though I was born here I only came back in 1998.Living in Brighton is a great experience and should be enjoyed by all, but only if you can afford the extortionate rentals.
My partner and I had to move out of town due to the high rent just to get more for our money. Now we are looking to move back into town and we are having the same problems with the rents, and this time we are trying to do a house share! Who do these landlords think they will have living in these properties, because most of the people that actually work in town will soon all be pushed out and all you'll be left with will be Lndon commuters here, which let's face it, will not do Brighton's image that much good. You need to keep the Brightonians or you'll loose the overall feel of Brighton.

I live an hour from Brighton and spend most weekends there...
Brighton is a cosmopolitan, be who you wanna be town. You can people watch and shop all day. It caters for everyone. But it will lose its appeal if people don't stop trying to make it little London.

In my view Brighton town is very nice...
It has everything everyone would dream of - nice houses, great beach, the world famous Rodean and some of the best bars and clubs. I have lived in Brighton for the last 8 years and I just love it here. Prices for houses here rocketed in the last few years but still I want to move somewhere else in Brighton - just to a bigger home.
