By Bus

Bus travel in Brighton & Hove is easy and convenient with a flat single rate fare or tickets that offer a day's unlimited travel.

There is a wide range of money-saving tickets, which makes traveling by bus even better value. Buses run every few minutes on main routes and there are plenty of city centre bus stops. Five colour-coded metro lines run through central Brighton & Hove.
Most buses are the latest models with clean, comfortable interiors as well as easy access and priority seating for older people, disabled people and those with buggies or carrying children.

Car Club

The One Brighton car club will provide residents with a car whenever they need one.

The One Brighton car club is run by the City Car Club and will form part of the city wide network with its numerous vehicle pick up points and three types of car. These range from small five door hatchbacks to larger petrol/electric hybrid Honda Civics.
Residents who opt to join the car club and require a car to take them on special trips that cannot be made using muscle power or public transport can book the use of a car, either by phone or via the internet. It is then picked up from one of the One Brighton?s dedicated car club parking spaces.

The service differs from hiring a car from a high street car rental organisation in that as a member of the car club you can hire the vehicle by the hour rather than the day. Therefore shorter rentals work out much cheaper and members only pay for the journeys they make.

There are also plenty of taxis and taxi ranks in the city centre, the main ones being in East Street, Queen's Square and at Hove Town Hall. Alternatively, hail them in the street - they're available 24 hours a day. Alternatively why not use the environmentally friendly tuc tuc taxi.

Cycling

To encourage sustainable transport and healthy exercise, each home at One Brighton is provided with bicycle storage facilities.
The bicycle is a really effective and money saving way of getting around Brighton. Brighton is one of five nationally selected 'cycling demonstration towns', as well as being part of the National Cycle Network. It has an official cycle route that runs along the beachfront from east to west. There are also other traffic free cycle routes around the city, as well as bridleways and unsurfaced tracks for off-road cycling into the Sussex Downs.
In recognition of this, One Brighton has been linked to the local cycle routes that connect with Brighton Railway Station. These car free routes have been especially provided for both cyclists and pedestrians.
