Directions

From the south take the M73 and exit at junction 2 onto the A8 eastbound. From there, travel along the A8 and exit at junction 6 marked Airdrie & Lanark.

From the west and east take the A8 and exit at junction 6 marked Airdrie & Lanark.

Shopping
 

The area has a comprehensive supply of well known shops including supermarkets such as Tesco, Iceland and Somerfield. Department stores feature Woolworths and Matalan.

There are several banks, a couple of Nationwide Building Societies and post offices within a five mile radius.

Leisure
North Lanarkshire boasts some very popular attractions including Summerlee Heritage Park, The Time Capsule that offers ice & water pursuits, and Airdrie Leisure Centre. There is the Motherwell Heritage Centre that offers a multimedia display.

 Airdrie has a good transport network of services, especially to Glasgow. The main bus terminal situated in the town centre has services to all surrounding districts.  Several taxi firms operate in the town and should have no problems providing services to Glasgow or Edinburgh airports.
