Julie Twist Properties
Ten years ago in Manchester City living life was starting to come back to the City. St Johns Gardens was Manchester’s first along with Granby House. These were built and refurbished in the late 1970’s and were being sold for well below £30,000.
In the next ten years the price had risen to £49,000 for a one bed and £80,000 for two beds. A very slow growth over this period resulted in a 61% growth. In the last ten years the average price of the same apartment is £120,000 and £180,000 respectively giving a 225% increase ( 22.5% per year)
When Julie first opened her doors there were five developments many still selling after having sales offices open for over two years. The highest price apartment then was £150,000 a luxury penthouse at Castle Quay. The City was finding it hard to come to terms with City living with no convenience stores, no Super markets close by and no extended shop hours.
Ten years ago there was only one Estate Agent in Manchester compared to eleven today!
