Curchods, Walton-on-Thames
When the Curchods journey first began, we were determined never to be the subject of the horror stories so often told about estate agents. Our aim was to ensure we stood out in a world of service mediocrity, by providing outstanding customer care, quality professional advice and a determination to realise our clients' objectives. We understand the unique pressures of buying and selling property and are committed to making the transaction as smooth, fast and stress free as possible.
The responsibility of handling the sale or purchase of what is likely to be your most expensive asset and probably your best tax free investment opportunity, must be consigned to someone with integrity, who you can trust. As members of the National Association of Estate Agents and the Ombudsman for Estate Agents, we are bound by vigorously enforced Codes of Practice and professional Rules of Conduct. Our greatest asset is our reputation and we will never do anything to compromise our high ethical principles.
Walton on Thames, as the name implies, is adjacent to the River Thames. The busy High Street in the town boasts several large retail outlets to include Woolworths, Boots and 'W H Smith' complementing the many private independent retailers offering more specialist services. A large re-development programme commenced early in 2001, the first phase of which encompasses a new Sainsbury Superstore which opened in December. The second phase is shortly to commence which will consist of a range of restaurants and new shops to compete with facilities offered in towns such as Kingston upon Thames and Guildford.
There are good leisure facilities in Walton and Hersham including the Screen 2 Cinema, athletic and football ground, indoor public swimming pool and leisure centre which is adjacent to the River Thames. There is also a public golf course in Hersham village.
Two stations, Walton on Thames and Hersham, both give access to London Waterloo in under 30 minutes, a strong reason why many commuters live here.
