A Wycherley
Messrs A Wycherley are one of the oldest established estate agents in the country, in business since 1853. Anne and Charles Wycherley are the 5th generation of the firm, daughter and son of Ivor Wycherley, being the 3 current family partners.
Originated by Henry Wycherley, his son Alfred Wycherley introduced the firm's existing name and in 1933 Ivor's father, Charles took over. Alfred sold Leonard and Virginia Woolf the Round House in Pipe Passage in 1919 and then subsequently bid for them at Auction to purchase Monks House, Rodmell. He is heavily featured along with Charles and Ivor in the popular book 'Mrs Dudenary's Diary'. Ivor Wycherley has been senior partner for over 50 years.
