I was born in Birkenhead, Bidston Avenue in 1957 and lived there 23 years until emigrating to Australia ...
... My parents stayed until 2000, so I have made numerous visits since and still feel it's home.
Its location is ideal for the Wirral, Liverpool and Wales, but Bidston Hill remains a special place, with memories of long walks in Birkenhead Park.

I have lived in Birkenhead all my life and wouldn't want to be anywhere else ...
... People are friendly, the houses are reasonably priced, the schools are excellent and we're in easy reach of Liverpool and Chester. What more could you want?

"Born and bred in Birkenhead" and proud of it!...
It's a place of history and boasts a man-made park that Central Park, New York was modelled on; the Priory which is where the 1st Mersey ferry ran from (the monks used to row people across) and much more. Come and find out for yourself.

I have lived in Birkenhead all my life...
I live less than 5 minutes away from town and I feel that it is very handy. People are friendly and there are a lot of things to do for entertainment: the cinema, swimming baths, there are a lot of public houses and there is a big park.
All of these are local to where I live, it doesn't take me more than 10 minutes to walk to any of them. I think that Birkenheaqd is great and I would recommend that you move here.

I moved to Birkenhead 11yrs ago...
There is a great community spirit up here and the people are easy to chat to and get to know. I now live a 2 minute walk from the town centre,we have some great shops and what we can't get here we can jump on the tube to Liverpool to buy.
We have great nightlife, good schools, and lovely places to visit eg unspoilt beaches, country parks and of course Wales is just down the road. Like any town it has its good and bad points but the good far outweigh the bad.

I like living in Claughton village, Birkenhead...
I have lived here for 30 years and it is handy for everything, shops, buses, trains, motorways etc. The people around Claughton village are very community-minded and friendly. We have Bidston Hill, Birkenhead Park, New Brighton all within easy reach.
