With easy access to the great nightlife in Manchester which boasts excellent bars and restaurants and it's not too far to travel from Worsley shopping is fantastic too, as the new Arndale has recently been renovated.  There are beautiful walks either in the woods and down by the canal or may be take a stroll around Blackleach Country Park you will not be disappointed.

Sunday mornings are also a favourite of mine, going for a brisk walk across the green, over the cobbled bridge and into the village store to collect the papers, and if the hangover is not lifting, a long walk in the woods is guaranteed to clear the cobwebs.
