Word On The Street: Heald Green

Heald Green is the ideal place for us ...
... because it's close to my husband's work (he cycles to work), to the airport, the A34 into Manchester, and the M56. It is quiet, close to the countryside, the Peak District and only a 25 min drive to Manchester.
It has very good schools, and is close to good retailers (John Lewis, Sainsbury's, M&S, Tescos). For us, it's the best of two worlds: countryside feel but still close to all amenities.

I think that Cheadle is a nice place to live in and does not really have a high crime rate.

I live near to Cheadle Hulme in Bramhall...
I find that Cheadle Hulme is a fun and bustling experience with lots of stores available to suit every need. Cheadle Hulme has a variety of friendly people, pleasant scenery and good access to every location necessary. I reckon it's a fantastic place to live and have a family.

I went to school and lived in Cheadle Hulme...
Moved away in 1987 and came back in 2002 buying a place again. Its great! I love the area close to Manchester/Stockport. Really close to the motorway. Stockport is one tram station away and has train links to London, only 3 hours away!

Cheadle is a great place to live...
We have a reasonable sized town, with shopping, a library, an ambulance station and fire station, swimming pool and leisure centre and several schools to choose from.
We are close to Alton Towers, so the traffic in the summer is a bit of a pain but it does not cause road problems like some might think.
The people who live in Cheadle are friendly and caring. Neighbours are friendly without being obtrusive.
House prices are not as high as in the neighbouring areas.
Altogether a lovely place to live!
