Widnes is a great place to live ...
... I have lived here all my life. We have a new leisure park opening in summer 2008, and house prices gone through the roof.

I moved to Farnworth in North Widnes in 2006 and absolutely love it.
... There is everything you need in the way of shops, restaurants, pubs, train stations nearby and motorway links to Liverpool and Manchester. There is not as much traffic as in the cities but you get all the other benefits.

Widnes is a typical small town, with limited shopping and entertainment facilities ...
... To its advantage it is centrally located for business and motorway (M62/M56) access. Widnes offers suburban life with close proximity to the two main NW cities. In the car Manchester is 30 minutes away and Liverpool is 15 minutes away.
The facilities and amenities Widnes lack are in abundance only a short drive or train journey away.

I've lived in Widnes for most of my life and I think it's a lovely place to live ...
... It's central for the big cities like Manchester and Liverpool and also the towns of St Helens and Warrington. There's loads to do here and a great stadium, leisure centre, good colleges, fantastic schools and a fast growing and improving town centre. Definitely worth a chance if you're considering! Widnes is a nice place to live...
We have excellent dining in a variety of cultures. We also have good leisure facilities and very good schools with excellent pass rates - Wade Deacon is a superb school. We have a nice little town as well for your extra needs.

Have lived here all my life...
Loved it when I was little then it went down hill a bit around the age of 15-16. It has now picked up again, and areas which were once no-go are now revived and pleasant places to be!
