I like Chester. It has nice suburbs and a great centre ...
The people are friendly and there is a wealth of things to do, both in Chester and the surrounding area.
Another plus is that it's close to the A55, which means easy access to North Wales. Makes for great days out.
However, houses are really overpriced and the general snobbyness that comes with living in the centre of Chester certainly shows with the ridiculous rents and prices.

Chester is a fantastic place to live...
It has many restaurants and good pubs with plenty of things to do in the day. Don't believe the City guide.
Chester is not full of Chavs!!!! And if you don't fancy the shopping we have the river and park (plus all the historical features) for you to take a walk around. It's an amazing and beautiful place!

Excellent place to live...
Motorway right into the city - Liverpool and airport 20 minutes, Manchester and airport 40 minutes. Commuting by road around the area with no congestion. Great shops. Loads of modern bars and restaurants. Huge amount of residential development in the centre - stylish city apartments, not suburban boxes. Property prices have rocketed. Welsh coastline only 35 minutes drive away, Snowdonia 50 minutes, London 2 hours 30, Glasgow 3 hours. Just so central for everything...
