I love Middlesbrough ...

... My main family lived there, but due to being in the forces I haven't lived there, apart from school hols and so on. My husband has 4 years left in the forces and then we are going to move there, we love it. It's coming up, it's cheap, it's lively. Just fab!

'Boro has been on the up for some time, and I don`t just mean football!...

Diverse, colourful, buzzing. Teesside and Durham Uni (Teesdale) both here on our doorstep. Access to coast and country. Very little smog nowadays. Come see for yourself.

I've ben a Boro girl all my life (40 years) and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else...

Friendly people, good nightlife, great schools and a variety of shops means everything is right on my doorstep.

I moved to Middlesbrough 7 years ago and can honestly say it truly feels like home...

The people are so friendly and the nightlife is good. It really has a good sense of community spirit.

Properties here are cheap - you can get a lot for your money - and the area is close by to some really beautiful countryside. Newcastle, York, Leeds and Durham are also on hand, which is good as the shopping is quite basic in the Boro. Schools, restaurants and the football more than make up for it though.

Middlesbrough is a buzzing town that is cheaper to live in than the major northern cities like Newcastle and Durham...

I went to University there for three years and I was well impressed by the friendliness of the people there and the great nightlife.

Although coming into Middlesbrough is not a pretty sight as it is ring-fenced by ICI, it is easy to get to beautiful places and access to bigger cities is easy.

Newcastle is 45 minutes away for example. I would recommend the Boro anyday as a cheap and cheerful alternative to pricey city life!

Middlesbrough is a lively place...

...with people from all backgrounds living in the area, there's always something to see or do, it'll never be dull living here!

Some excellent schools, good shopping, good nightlife and plenty of places to eat...

Two great parks - Albert Park and Stewarts Park which hosts Captain Cook's birthplace museum. Ormesby Hall belongs to the National trust and hosts open air concerts. Sought after areas to live are Nunthorpe, Marton and Marton Manor. I don't think you would be disappointed if you moved to this town. 10 minutes drive to the coast and 5 minutes to the country and hills.
