Word On The Street: Shepherds Bush
Shepherds Bush is visibly different from the rest of West London ...

... The excellent Lebanese and Caribbean restaurants and shops, the "uber cool" music venues and the great ethnic mix of people make it a great place to live.

It is a community at ease with its environs, a vivid illustration of how London accommodates and thrives on difference.

Word On The Street: Shepherds Bush
Moved to Shepherd's Bush five years ago and the area is changing in a positive and vibrant way ...

... Both Uxbridge and Goldhawk road have seen new bars, restaurants and trendy shops in the last year and the area has great music venues such as the Empire and Bush Hall. It's also great for families thanks to Ravenscourt Park and good state schools.

Transport links to central London and surrounding suburbs are excellent and the proposed Tram service along the Uxbridge Road will further improve things for residents.

In brief, the Bush has become a great neighbourhood to live in.

Word On The Street: Shepherd's Bush
Shepherd's Bush is changing into a culturally vibrant part of West London without the pretentiousness or silly prices of Notting Hill ...

... It's bustling with energy, individual shops/cafes as well as unexplored multicultural restaurants. A genuine representation of what London is all about. Come and see it for yourselves.

I have lived in the Bush since 1964. Since then there has been many changes yet somehow the place remains the same ...

... It is a reasonably safe and friendly part of town, the main drawback being lack of decent shopping.

The area has an astonishing mix of races and cultures and as no-one is "top dog" we all rub along nicely. I have never seen racist graffiti in all my time here and we have QPR!

W12 is the most wonderful place to live....

I have known so many people move here over the years - and no wonder with all the beauty and peace of Ravenscourt park and the River on your doorstep, yet with so much going on - so many fantastic restaurants, gastropubs, music venues, and our very own theatre, The Bush - one of the most respected for new writing in London.

It's between Chiswick and Notting Hill, and yet doesn't feel suburban, and you can get so much more for your money than other places. It's been coming "up" for a number of years now, but I can't imagine that it will ever lose its buzz!

I have to say that I love living in Shepherds Bush...

I'm 23 and find that the Bush has everything I need. There's a great buzz here, I think it's due to the great mix of people and cultures - it's one of London's many melting pots.

Lived in W12 for years now...

I have to say W12 has its fair share of scares, but also it's had its good moments as well,(and it's VERY quiet a lot of the time in White City).

Everything you need is here...transport into central London is easy, there is Wood Lane where the BBC is situated, the Shepherds Bush Empire which has gained an enormous amount of publicity and recognition, and the big W12 shopping centre which has become a huge benefit, especially with its cinema.

Overall it's a great place to live!

I love living in the W12...

One of the reasons why I love living in the W12 area is everything is close by. Shepherds Bush market, Hammersmith Mall (cheap parking!) and Kensington High Street are easy to get to by bus. Cinema's just a stone's throw. Friendly neighbourhood. I am a lone parent and my son goes to a local primary in the borough and I can honestly say they know how to look after the children.

I have been living in this area for over 25 years and there is nothing but LOVE that I feel for W12. I wish there wasn't so much traffic in the area. But then again, EVERYONE wants to come and see what it is all about and probably jealous because they are not living there all ready. Martyna Kabia.
