I have travelled worldwide and had many a chance to relocate to another part of the world, but I still Love getting back to the wonderful delights on offer in Great Yarmouth.
The Golden sand beaches. Lots of good restaurants, many pubs and clubs, the Pleasure Beach amusement park Also plenty to do along the Golden Mile. Both for the kids and the adults.
The Golden Mile is situated on the seafront which is currently undergoing a major revamp with lots of money being put into the town it. All in all a very nice part of the U.K.
I am moving back to the area soon as I still work in Yarmouth. I am looking to buy in the neighbouring areas as I seriously would not like to live in the centre of Yarmouth. I am looking to buy in Caister-On-Sea/Bradwell kind of area.
I would say the biggest down fall about Yarmouth, well Norfolk in general is that it's not a great place for young people to live. There never seems to be much going on compared to the rest of the UK but its not all bad. If you like music there are plenty of decent, talented local bands that you can see in the towns pubs.
House prices were so low compared to where I live and the amount of shops in the town meant plenty of retail therapy. The market is one of the largest open air markets in u.k. and is in the town 3 days a week.
I loved the wonderful miles of golden sand beaches with blow up slides and many other activities for the kids right on the beach. The fun fair on the front was brilliant only 15 pounds for the day or tokens if only want one or two rides.
You certainly won't go hungry as along the prom there are so many take away, fast food places and cafes. There is plenty to do in the evening's loads of entertainment, a cinema and lots of restaurants. I was also told there are 3 night clubs.
The thing that struck me most was that every where in Great Yarmouth was nice and clean with no rubbish on the streets. Even the public toilets had toilet paper in them and were clean. I would recommend this place very highly to anyone. Looking forward very much to moving there.
