Word On The Street: March
I live in a thriving fenland market town with excellent rail connections to London, Peterborough, Cambridge, Ely, Norwich, Stansted airport and Liverpool ...

... March is famous for St Wenredas church with its hammer beam roof and Whitemoor Railway Marshalling Yard. The river Nene flows through the town and many boats moor at Foxes Marina near the town’s bypass. Market days are Weds and Sat.

I live in a quiet cul-de-sac of 78 purpose-built flats, with beautiful beech hedges and grassed areas 5 mins walk to the shops in town and 5 mins walk to the station. We have a bus service to Peterborough and Cambridge too. Only a 45 min drive to the Norfolk coast with the beautiful, quiet beaches of Brancaster and old Hunstanton.

Word On The Street: March
My husband and I have just recently visited March with a view to moving here with our two young children ...

... We made the rounds of the estate agents in the town, everyone was so friendly and helpful, it was so wonderful to hear these people bragging about the town that they obviously love so much! We also took a tour of the town and instantly fell in love with it!

We can see our children growing up there and for us to grow old in a small, caring environment! The townspeople should feel pride and we commend you all for making us feel so welcome. As soon as we have sold our house in Lancashire, we are on our way, so hope to see you all soon.

Word on the Street: March
March is becoming a much larger town that's being developed and lots of houses are being put up...

There are schools secondary and primary in the town. Traffic is a problem with the school run. People are your usual Fenland folk - once they know you no problems. Working locally is not too good but there are rail services to Peterborough and Cambridge. London can be slow to get to due to rail work. Average journey to London by car is 2 hours at off-peak. Local paper is Fenland Citizen, out Wednesdays.

March is a small town in the middle of the Fens...

It has a good bus and train access to Peterborough and a direct train link to Stansted airport, and you can reach London very easily with a change at Peterborough.
I have lived here for 16 years - I come from London and I love March.

Word on the Street: Livingston
Livingston is one of the successful Scottish "New Towns" that continues to grow and attract industry...

It is well served by road and rail links, situated on the M8 with easy access to both Glasgow and Edinburgh.

It has one of the largest indoor shopping center in Scotland at Almondvale Centre. Recreational facilities include golf courses, swimming pools, sports centers, indoor bowling and a new 8 screen cinema complex is due to open in October.

Its schools constantly exceed the national average for exam results and a new college is curently under construction in the town centre.

Livingston F.C provide 1st division football with a purpose built 10,000 seater stadium. Recently promoted from division 2, they, like the town, are on the move up.
