…Close to the countryside but near enough to Derby or Notts to make commuting easy.

Word On The Street: Belper

... During the day the high street is full of life, but then if you want a great nightlife, give up - pubs close at 11 and by 11:30 most streets are empty.

Belper is a beautiful town in parts but, like anywhere, it has its bad points. To be fair it's not the place's fault that the population is largely built on what we all know as "chav culture".

I personally - believe it or not after reading this - love Belper and most of the people, and the area generally is lovely.

Word On The Street: Belper

There's a good range of shops, lots of primary schools and a high school. It's historic and surrounded by countryside. The Peak District is about 30 mins away if that. Derby is about 10 miles to the south and Nottingham and Sheffield are within easy enough reach. There is a train station.

Word on the Street: Belper

It's a nice little place with good shopping and very easy to get to nearby cities, so it's kind of in the middle.
